CNC Press Brake: It is a CNC controlled sheet metal bending machine. Tonnage (upto 120 tons) and width (upto 3000 mm) of the press machine differs. It has upper and lower molds when performing the bending operation. Upper molds (male molds) have a “V” shape and the lower molds (female molds) have also a “V” shape and take the male mold inside them. The machine bends the sheet metal in between as programmed by applying a great hydraulic power.
Its technical elements; the numerical control unit, hydraulic sections and CNC units. The numerical control unit is programmed in accordance with the required part. While placing the part with his two hands, the operator presses the pedal with his foot to lower the upper tray (called y axes). The bending distance of the piece is determined by the back supports while the bending angle is determined by the pressing power of the higher tray.
CNC Laser Cutting: Manufacturing with laser technology both increases automation and also decreases manufacturing faults. By laser applications in various counters, 24 hours of manufacturing becomes possible and the cost is decreased based on mass manufacturing. Based on laser cuttings in particular, a significant saving from many molds and devices has become possible. Moreover, many machines are not used and human-based faults have been decreased.
The laser cutting machine consists of three main parts; the resonator where the laser beam is produced, the load bearing body and the moving parts of the machine, and optical system of transmittance to the laser cutting head.
Welding: Welding is a non-detachable fusion or filling of two or more materials of same or different types by applying heat, pressure or both with or without using an auxiliary metal.
In general, welding methods and types are listed like below;
Assembly: Rivets; these are often cylindrical connection items with a head shape on one end and with the other end shaped in the moment of assembly and they are used to attach two or more parts together permanently. The connection is carried out by aligning the holes perforated in the parts and by swelling the free end of the rivet accordingly. Pop rivets used in assemblies have been utilized for a long time in various branches of our industry. They can fix together many materials. They are especially favored because it is not necessary to reach the back side of the piece during an assembly. Easy mounting of rivets decreases the costs of labor and material. Pop rivets consist of a body and nail.
Rivet nuts on the other hand are a practical fixing item used on thin materials. It is an alternative to tapping and to those applications in which a weld nut is welded. In the event the materials to be connected are to be tied to plates or pipes, and in those connections which involve an inaccessible backside that necessitate use of nuts, these rivets are easily applied and ensure a strong binding point.
