CNC Press Brake: It is a CNC controlled sheet metal bending machine. Tonnage (upto 120 tons) and width (upto 3000 mm) of the press machine differs. It has upper and lower molds when performing the bending operation. Upper molds (male molds) have a “V” shape and the lower molds (female molds) have also a “V” shape and take the male mold inside them. The machine bends the sheet metal in between as programmed by applying a great hydraulic power.
Its technical elements; the numerical control unit, hydraulic sections and CNC units. The numerical control unit is programmed in accordance with the required part. While placing the part with his two hands, the operator presses the pedal with his foot to lower the upper tray (called y axes). The bending distance of the piece is determined by the back supports while the bending angle is determined by the pressing power of the higher tray.
